COLD MILL RELEIF JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Cold Mill Relief Operator

Reports To: VP of Manufacturing

Department: Cold Mill

Date Issued: December 30, 2013

COMPETENCIES: (i.e., to be defined in terms of required education, training, skills, and/or experience)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work with others as a team
  • Fork Lift Certified

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (i.e., functions, authorities, tasks, etc.)

  • Responsible for replacing Cold Mill Operator, Assistant and Trucker for continuous operation
  • Must be able to perform the duties of Cold Mill Operator, which are reducing the coils of aluminum by running them through the mill
  • Must be able to perform the duties of Assistant, which are preparing coil for mill
  • Must be able to perform the duties of Trucker, which are transporting coils to and from the mill
  • Ability to keep the mill going at all times, which produces higher quality metal
  • Know how to operate Cardox system in case of emergency
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Comply with the Company’s quality management system requirements
  • Willingness to cross train
  • Advocate for continuous improvement projects
